The Makai Coffee Club opened in December 2009 with the goal of building community in the Ballard/Seaview neighborhood, while promoting surfing in the Pacific Northwest and ocean awareness in general. The only requirements of membership are respect for the ocean and a desire to participate in community activities in the Ballard/Seaview neighborhood.
Members enjoy coffee from Lighthouse Roasters and surf movies on our 50" TV all day long. The deck is perfect for watching the sunset over Shilshole Bay. We have wi-fi for those of you who want to get some work done, and a Nintendo Wii for those of you who don't!
